Chitral: A fielder car plunged into the Chitral River in front of Kuju Bala in Lower Chitral on Tuesday.
Upon receiving the alert, Rescue 1122 dispatched diving and medical teams to the site immediately. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred while the vehicle was attempting to overtake a Mazda truck on Chitral road.
Three persons including the driver were onboard. The reports said Hanif and his friend from Prayit were coming to Chitral in the vehicle. The driver was also a resident of Prayit.
Rescue 1122, local police, and volunteer swimmers have launched a joint search and rescue operation to locate the missing individuals and retrieve the submerged vehicle.
